Information LiveGuard processes

When monitoring is enabled on a TikTok LIVE page, LiveGuard may process information that is publicly visible on that LIVE page, including:

• Public comment text.
• Public display names.
• Public avatar image URLs when available.
• The TikTok LIVE source needed to associate comments with the correct monitoring session.
• Anonymous LiveGuard installation and session identifiers used to operate and secure the service.

LiveGuard does not require users to create an account with an email address or password.

How the information is used

Information is processed only for purposes related to providing and securing LiveGuard, including moderation analysis, displaying moderation results and analytics, preventing duplicate processing, maintaining anonymous installation sessions, and diagnosing operational problems.

Information sent to LiveGuard

Public comments selected by the LiveGuard extension are transmitted securely to the LiveGuard service for moderation analysis. Moderation analysis is performed by the LiveGuard service and is not limited to processing on your local device.

What LiveGuard does not access

• Private TikTok messages.
• Your TikTok password or login credentials.
• TikTok authentication cookies.
• Private TikTok APIs.
• Private account information that is not visible on the LIVE page.

Human moderation and TikTok actions

LiveGuard provides moderation assistance for human review. It does not automatically report, block, mute, or delete TikTok users or comments. Removing an item from LiveGuard only removes that item from LiveGuard and does not delete the original TikTok comment.

Hosting and service providers

LiveGuard's production infrastructure is hosted using Microsoft Azure. Information may therefore be processed by the hosting infrastructure as necessary to provide, secure, and operate the LiveGuard service.

Data retention

Moderation records may be retained by LiveGuard to provide the dashboard, moderation history, analytics, security, and operational functionality. LiveGuard does not currently promise a fixed automatic deletion period. Individual moderation candidates may be removed where LiveGuard provides a removal control.

Data sharing and sale

LiveGuard does not sell or rent information collected through the extension. Information is used for operating the LiveGuard service and may be processed by infrastructure providers when necessary to provide that service.

Security

LiveGuard uses HTTPS for production communications and uses anonymous installation credentials and short-lived dashboard handoff mechanisms designed to reduce unnecessary exposure of authentication credentials.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when LiveGuard's features or data practices change. The updated date at the top of this page will reflect the latest version.
